Suscon was founded in 2013 by Charl Marais and Geoff Walsh with the vision to change, improve and revolutionize the construction industry in Africa. SUSCON has since expanded into a reputable international construction company which has successfully completed over 150 projects in 3 African countries.
SUSCON is an engineering, procurement and construction contractor that is Africa Focused. Our flagship project being the construction of 115 mini-hospitals in the Republic of Zambia for a British Government backed exporter to develop and improve the country’s health care infrastructure.

SUSCON has trained more than 1000 people, creating jobs for the local industry, and contributing to the social and economic development of all lives in Africa. We have a multinational team from across the globe which consists of professionals in their trade from management, construction, design, procurement, and logistics, who can assist our clients in more than 10 different languages.

A seasoned executive with over 30 years of board level commercial
experience having served as a Director on several London Stock
Exchange listed companies. He earned an MBA from Imperial College, London. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of NMS Infrastructure Limited and was Founding Chairman of the Clothing & Infrastructure Group (CLING) of ADS.
Chief Executive Officer
He holds an MBA from Cranfield with specialization in international
finance where he was voted most likely to succeed. Starting his career at Lonrho working as Head Lawyer in the former Soviet Union. He has extensive experience in emerging market finance and acted as consultant to major projects. He co-founded SUSCON Construction serving as CEO.
Chief Operations Officer
He has over ten years of construction business management experience.
He earned a BSc. (HONS) Construction Management degree from the
University of Pretoria where he graduated with distinction at the top of his class. He was involved in the construction of over 10 000 low cost houses in South Africa, and co-founded SUSCON Construction serving as COO.
Chief Finance Officer
He is a Chartered Accountant (CA (SA)) with over 25 years of Financial and General management experience. He studied and worked briefly in
South Africa before moving to Swaziland for 16 years, and has been in Zambia for over 10 years. He worked in the mining sector for 7 years before joining SUSCON Construction, is responsible for all statutory compliances and international project audits.
Chief Technical Officer
He holds a BSc. in Civil Engineering and MSc. in Mechanical Engineering
from Cranfield University. Peter has held Senior management positions with leading blue-chip companies such as Land Rover, Courtaulds Aerospace, GKN, GEC Marconi and BAE Systems, delivering equipment and service to UK and overseas governments. He also serves as the programme Director of NMS Infrastructure Limited.
